About JEE

Ambition, endurance and hardwork will surely get one going but the need of proper training and assistance goes beyond comparison. This is particularly true when one wishes to get admission into the most elite technical educational institutions which are the prestigious IITs (Indian Institute of Technology). JEE (Joint Entrance Examination) is a single window entrance examination which is the gateway for engineering and architecture courses in top tier institutions like IITs and NITs in India.

JEE is a two tiered examination consisting of JEE Main and JEE Advanced. JEE Main is for those candidates who wish to get into BE or B.Tech courses in the National Institutes of Technology (NITs), Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs), other Centrally Funded Technical Institutes (CFTIs) and various regional engineering colleges in India. The JEE Main is also the eligibility test that allows students to attend the JEE Advanced exam.

JEE Advanced is an all-India level engineering entrance exam for admission into IITs. Is is considered as one of the most difficult and challenging examinations in the country. Substantial amounts of preparation and hardwork with dedication is required to secure good ranks in this exam.

JEE Main comprises of two papers: Paper 1 and Paper 2. The Paper 1 is for those who would want admission in BE and B.Tech courses and Paper 2 is for those who want admission in B.Arch and B.Planning courses. While Paper 1 is held through online and offline modes, Paper 2 is held only offline. While applying for the JEE Main exam, the candidates must specify if they wish to appear for Paper 1 or Paper 2 or both.

JEE Advanced is strictly offline, paper-based and consists of two papers. The candidates must attend both papers to get admission into engineering courses. For the candidates who wish to be admitted into architectural courses that IITs offer, both the papers need to be cleared and then the studnet should attend the Architecture Aptitude Test (AAT) which the seven zonal IITs conduct.

A candidate can a ppear for the JEE Main exams for three consecutive years but JEE Advanced exams can be attempted for only two consecutive years. The JEE Main exams is on the same lines of the NCERT Class 11 and 12 Physics, Chemistry and Math syllabi, with the difficulty level on ther harder end. The JEE Advanced requires a few extra topics to be covered for the exam.

The candidates must have in-depth knowledge of the concepts and their applications. Speed and accuracy are two important factors that have a prominent role in these exams. Hence it becomes extremely important that the students undergo a well structured training program specially designed for the purpose.
